Your registration includes:

  • Two-day conference program (19-20th September) at Newcastle’s premier conference venue, including talks and posters from leading shorebird researchers, industry representatives, government organisations, and community members.

  • Keynote addresses from Associate Professor Birgita Hansen (Federation University, Australasian Wader Studies Group, Latham’s Snipe Project) and Adrian Riegen (Pukorokoro Miranda Naturalists’ Trust, New Zealand Wader Study Group, Australasian Wader Studies Group, Birds New Zealand).

  • Fully catered morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on both conference days

  • ASC26-branded souvenir tote bag to hold your conference goodies

  • Access to trade stands and displays

Optional extras not included

  • When registering you will have the option of ordering a commemorative conference t-shirt for $40. These are available in both women’s and men’s styles and in a variety of colours and sizes. Please refer to the ASC Merchandise page for more information.

  • More details about field trips on Monday 21st September and a conference dinner will become available soon.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
If you wish to cancel your registration for any reason, please notify us in writing:

  • On or before 5:00 PM (AEST) on 8 August 2026, you will receive a full refund, minus a $50 administration fee.

  • After 8 August 2026, you will receive a 50% refund of your registration fee minus the $50 administration fee.

  • Refunds under this clause will also be processed within 30 days of receiving your written cancellation notice.

  • Important: Credit card processing and ticketing fees are non-refundable.

 
Important: Refunds do not include reimbursement of credit card processing and ticketing fees.
The Frustrated Contracts Act 1978 (NSW) and other related legislation do not apply to this agreement.
